Sacraments

baptism

Baptism
In baptism we joyfully welcome new members into God's family of the Church.

For parents seeking to have their children baptised it is important in the first place to speak to the Parish Priest.

Sometimes there is a short course organised for parents presenting their first child for baptism. The Parish Priest will advise you about this.

Confirmation

In general, Confirmation is celebrated at the age of 13 years of age or older when they begin their preparation. In this sacrament we recognise the work of the Holy Spirit calling us to live out the fullness of the Christian life.

Please contact Fr Tom for further information.

FHC

First Communion
Preparation for First Holy Communion normally begins when children are in year 3 or above.

Please contact Fr Tom.

The Sick
Communion is brought to the sick and housebound of our parish each week thanks to our team of ministers of the Eucharist.

The sacrament of the sick is celebrated in the course of the year for those able to come for the masses of anointing. It is also celebrated for all those who are facing serious illness at any time and for those who have long term sickness.
