DOWRY OF MARY PILGRIMAGE to Walsingham will take place on Sunday 12 September.  Each year the Dowry Pilgrimage reflects the international and multi-cultural nature of the Church in England at the present time.  This year we will pray, especially for the success of the forthcoming Papal Visit and we hope as many pilgrims as possible will attend.  The Deanery coach is cancelled due to lack of numbers.  You will have to make your own travel arrangements.

CHRISTIAN AID LUNCHES are held each Friday from May to September in Westgate Church Hall.  At the moment we are short of people to help prepare & serve lunch on 17 and 24 September.  If anyone could offer to help in any way between 1000 and 1430 it would be gratefully appreciated.  All help is desperately needed and the more the merrier!  In September we will also be asking for donations of food for the lunches.  We are looking to provide a ploughman style lunch for 40+ people.  Please sign up on the clipboard at the back of the church.  For more information either ring the presbytery or see Fr Bruce or Susan Butler for more details.  All welcome to attend lunch any Friday; cost £4.

'DIFFERENT VOICES, SAME SONG' is the theme of a free event at Norwich Anglican Cathedral on Thursday 16 September from 1930-2100.  John Bell of the Iona Community will be exploring the nature of harmony in community, using music as a metaphor.  Whereas difference in music creates beautiful harmony, in society we often shy away from diversity and prefer everyone to try to be the same, thus creating a kind of unison that misses out the richness of the harmony achievable with diversity.  John will explore what we can learn from the interaction of different parts in music, and how we can apply this to our notions of community.  John is both an expert in communal singing and in social inclusivity.  All welcome, just turn up on the day.
